Free University of Bozen-Bolzano

The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is located in one of the most fascinating European regions, at the crossroads between the German-speaking and Italian economies and cultures. Its trilingualism in teaching and research, its high level of internationalisation as well as an ideal study environment guaranteed by its excellent facilities are some of the reasons why unibz regularly reaches top positions in national and international rankings. The university has five faculties, and a high percentage of lecturers (35%) and students (17%) come from abroad and they study, teach and do research in the fields of Economics, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Education and Design.

The School of Economics accounts for more than 1,100 students (out of 4,050 students at the university) and comprises a very successful Law department. Research in the legal field is carried out in the framework of the research cluster “”Law, Economics and Institutions”, which encompasses research in both the comparative analysis of Law and Economics (within the public and the private sphere), and the study of Legal, Political and Ethical Systems. The area fosters research across disciplines and national/linguistic boundaries. The Law group, thanks to its publications in top international journals and publishers is recognized as expert in issues related to law and economics, at international and European level.
